Hey everyone! I'm brand new and hope to build the new Rey Jedi outfit from Episode 8 and get approved for legion status! I started this same build thread in the Jedi costume section of the forum, but also wanted to post this here in case I can get any specific pointers from our base as it's the one I'd be joining! I wanted to ensure I'm not doing anything that would cause me to need to redo parts of the costume! Since there's no official standards posted yet, I really wanted help so I'm not making any expensive mistakes! I'm purchasing all my supplies a week from today! Thanks in advance for all your help!

I'm in the purchasing phase right now:

I started around a couple months or so ago by purchasing the labeled confirmed screen accurate fabric from mood fabrics for her tunic. Here is the link:

My plan is to make the tunic wrap in the front and have slits on the sides that go from the bottom up to the waist. Also to have a slit that goes from the bottom up to the waist in the middle of the back. I also will have a waist seam that will be hidden by the obi and belt. I plan to line the tunic with similar plain brown cotton and to ensure there are no visible hem or stitching areas. I assume this self wraps and there's no fasteners.

**I'm going to be heavily patterning this with bedsheets or scrap fabric before cutting the very valuable screen accurate fabric so there are no errors.**

I found some gauze handkerchief linen that I really like. I plan to buy this and hand dye it.

I found a Rit Dye recipe online that I really like for the color to dye it. I see a lot of variations of this costume that are only or mostly grey, and I personally see the blue hint in this one. Thus my choice of recipe. It's the Blue/Green #193:

My plan for the obi is to use this fabric and potentially dye it if it's not blending well with my tabard.

Belt/arm cuff:
I will be commissioning someone for the belt and arm cuff. They will make it out of real leather and be using the required D rings. They will also make the leg holster.

Arm Wraps:
I saw these medical wraps on amazon and was going to purchase them and weather them:

I plan to order a pair of grey skinny pants from Amazon:

I will disassemble them, and then incorporate the following highlighted seams as specified from a previous approved Rey on the forums here:

I just pre ordered Po-Zu's new Tall Rey boots and they have a guaranteed delivery in November!

My natural hair is too long and now purple so I was going to purchase and style the following wig in her hairstyle:

I plan to buy the following pattern and create a wrap undershirt eliminating the added trim sections on the edges:

This is the fabric I intend to buy:

Thank you!
