No problem! Sorry for the confusion! If you could let me know of any other steps that need clarifying I think id would be really helpful! Thanks!

I'm struggling to find brown boots that don't zip up and a good belt that's not $200. suggestions?

I used Etsy for both. The boots cost $60 and they zip in the front but the flap comes up and Velcro’s over the zipper so you can’t see it. Belt is probably around $40 on Etsy too and the one I got is pretty nice. Good pouches oddly enough are the most expensive part.

I decided to attempt Formal Obi-Wan Kenobi approval on this and everything worked out fine! I was even complimented on the soft parts! So that's good news for anyone interested in attempting this!

Roughly speaking, how many yards of fabric does each piece require?

That depends greatly on your height and build. (And the width of the fabric).

For an OT style robe I've never gotten away with less than 6 yards and that's only for short people. Otherwise you can easily add another half or whole yard to that. (I bought 6½ meters for my last and I'm 1.75 m).

I'm slim and have managed to make an OT and obi set from 2 meters, but only just. And I can make tabards for my slim frame from a single meter of fabric if it's full width, but again, only just.

I think I used 4½ meters for OT, obi, and tabards set for my brother, who's much wider across the shoulders than me.
Pants was 2½ meters as I recall.

I can go with that and adjust.

Thanks!
