I don't see the TFA rebel jumpsuit or vest on Costume Base's website. Did they pull it because they are doing revisions?

CB only contacted me when they were running low on their current stock, so I'm guessing they're out-of-stock and are working on the new version.

Im hoping they offer a smaller size with the new run. I still need a suit for my gf and if the new version looks good i'm planning on getting another one of these.

Do we have a consensus on the Costumebase gloves yet?

Costumebase has updated their offering. I'm trying to get hi-res photos from them.

Chestbox looks bad, and the ejection harness/belt is terrible, but I was never interested in either from CB -- just the flightsuit and vest.

So what are your thoughts on the flight suit and vest? That's a heck of a deal if they will pass inspection.

I need to sit down with the CRL and go over it point-by-point. If the LCJs or anyone with an approved pilot wants to chime in, please do!

Hi-res photos available at

(If anyone can confirm they can see those, that'd be great!)

I looked at the photos with another Base member. We're thinking the flightsuit is probably approvable, with two tweaks:
* replace the leg strap buckles
* probably? replace the back strap buckle

One big question we have is the color - not sure if it's too OT orange.

The vest is a bit more problematic:
* Not sure if the cord around the edge is thick enough
* The vertical spacing between the foam rectangles on the front looks too small
* The construction of the front looks tacked-on.

In general, I think it's a huge leap forward. I'm curious if anyone has been approved, with modifications, with these new versions.

I recently overhauled an older one for approval (and in the process had all of the flaws laid out for me). The D pocket isn't done correctly and the pocket behind the left primary needs to be smaller as well. Neither are particularly difficult modifications. The Right primary doesn't look quite right either, but i cant tell with the available photos. Also, the color looks better than the v1 which had kind of a neon tone to it and also the fabric used for the v1 was dye-able with RIT synthetic so hopefully that means that this will be too.

The clasps for the collar shouldn't be buttons and i doubt they included the flap in the front for the chest box to hook into, but those can be non-visible

If you have the text from the LCJs available, and/or want to expand on these points, I'll be happy to pass them along to Costumebase.

My flightsuit was very different but I can DM them to you anyway. Also they offer the flightsuit separately for 89.90 USD if you message them, and I'll buy one to get better pictures (And fabric).
