Upon further review, i think i may need to shorten my jacket by about 5/8" to an inch.

Have you had any headway on this? I submitted this costume, and was told that I'm required to have an image of Poe from behind in order for it to be acceptable, but there ARE no images of this costume from behind, as the movie hasn't come out yet, and there's no promo pics I could find that show it. I resorted to using an action figure for reference, so hopefully that will be enough, but I figured I'd ask, since you were working on it too.

Yeah, I used multiple figures that all have the same details. But I will likely wait to submit until there are actually some screen grabs.
The key details on the back are a center back seam and two side back seams curving from under the arm, all top-stitched.

In about 48 hours, there will be fuzzy theater footage to reference.

Yeah the action figures are all we have at this point haha.

Unfortunately I'm trying to get it for use at RL events, so the fuzzy theater footage will come too late haha.

You have done a fabulous job on your costume.

And, yes...right now we have two people who have submitted this costume for approval....
yours (as you noted) has not been submitted and to me it looks to be the closest to accurate.

You caught the details on the holster that the others missed and a lot of the detail on the jacket.

Since you have done an incredible job on your costume so far and are holding off for more and better screen captures.....
could I impose on you to start writing a costume standard for this costume that can be discussed and new images shared as they emerge?

Some of what I have so far:

this one is quite dark and I never got a chance to purchase the magazine and will be looking for the Visual Dictionary...

This looks really great! Where did you get the holster? Did you make it? Very nice job!

Thank you so much for your kind words! You have no idea what they mean to me! Yes, I absolutely will start (frankly, have started ) drafting standards

Awesome...am so glad you are thinking already of standards.

When it comes to these costumes, there is NO substitute for someone who has actually made the costume when it comes to writing standards....

you are, imho the most knowledgeable so far for this costume. I have poured over images that I could find...but photos are one thing...
actually making something is quite another..

Very Happy
