Hi all,

SO I am about to start putting the hair onto my mask but its been about 4 years since I last put the project on the back burner. I need to reconfirm the hair colours as I've lost my previous references.

For the bulk of the suit - I think I went with a combination of Kanekalon #27 and #8. (Probably a ratio of 4 to 1)

For the darker areas, I think I was using a combination of other Kanekalon colors. If I recall the numbers: #8 (a dark brown), #44 (grey) and #2, although I can't remember the blending ratios.

Could anyone confirm the darker areas for me please.

There isn't any set formula, I'm afraid. I went with 2 parts #27 to one part #6 for my brown, along with some grey mixed in.

I went with #6 and #51 in a 1:1 mix for the grey.

These are a bit dark side for what looks good as Chewie. Others might prefer lighter brown.

The key is to match what you've already done.

Matt is correct, I personally use M4/27 and 27 in a 1:3ish ratio for the reddish brown and M4/22 with a bit of 6 for the grey. It’s most important to match what you’ve already done though Smile

Thanks Chefhawk.

Quick further question for everyone. So I am now progressing the dark grey hair up the back of my mask and I am approaching the face area. At what point do I start to add the tan hair ?
