Hello everyone.

Is there anyone making senator Malé-Dee's costume?

I'm interesting in this one, but I can't find out some details.

Where can I get some resources?

None that I have seen. I think you would be the first. Smile

Hmm, I'll see if I can get you some more references.

Edit: There you go. Made a gallery for you and any other Malé-Dee interested person.

I think this costume design inspired by Buddhist monk’s robe, loose robe, cross collar and very wide sleeves.

The colour is light grey with a little khaki?

The fabric looks like cotton?

I would personally say tan color, or beige. Have you notice the two brown accents in the collar (seconds pics of the gallery Lora made) I looks like it would be brown pigskin no ? Or faux-suede. It also seems that at least the collar is linen with it (look at the back of the neck, same pic).

Interesting project anyway ! Would be happy to see it finished Very Happy

Thanks! I see that two strips, and it seems the same fabric with the inner sdie of the big collar.

In this picture, we can see that he wears a grey sweater inside.

Take care, is toy is a custom made with some Dragon Ball and GI joe toys Wink It's not official and as such, you can't take example on this as a source !
But as they should not be seen, I guess you could be relatively free. Also, as it it based apparently on a buddhist monk robe, we could assume it's same style of shoes than the robe picture you shared Wink
That is my opinion but I'm no judge!

Yeah, those brown stripes does indeed look like pig skin or similar. I would generally describe the robe color as 'beige'.
Since we don't have standards for this I highly recommend to keep posting about your process here were both detachment staff and LCJs can follow along and help you on your journey. Smile

I hope the gallery will be helpful to you in this. Let me know if you find new good references.

According to these pictures, I try to draw a draft.

I think this costume maybe has 3 parts.

PART I is basic robe.

A full-long robe with wide sleeves and cross collar.

The sleeves are obviously longer than arms.

A small crevice on the oxter, seems like Jepanese style.

The caffs are sewed, only about 20cm open at the top.

PART II is wide collar

A wide and thick cross collar above the robe. I am not sure about its length, but according to a pic in the gallery, it seems ended at chest, not extend to waist.

PART III is a kasaya?

A tilted long part from left shoulder to right side of waist, extend to near the floor.

The sketches look like a good starting point. Have you made any sketches of the back yet?

I'm really excited that you're working on this. He's got such a cool design that looks deceptively simple. I think you're onto something with the multi-layered robe.
