Event Description:
It is a ribbon cutting for a neighborhood's little library. The neighborhood consists of 3500 residents. The event already has confirmed attendance of the Alexandria city council, Alexandria Mayor, & Vice Mayor. We are also attempting to get media coverage of the event. A charity will also be present that will promote tutoring opportunities. We are trying to encourage reading and the library. Since the event fell on May 4th I realized it would be a great way to incorporate and theme the event about Star Wars and its books to entice children to read.
