It recently got painted. I need to send it out for weathering and fixing the ID of the blade holder. Once the outside visuals are done I'm going to install the electronics. I'll be using Proffieboards and string blades. It will have all the proper glowing bits on the buttons and cyan windows, as well as having an in-hilt LED for decorative blade plugs.

It'll take about another month or so to complete, this has been a 4 year project for me and I'm pumped that it's almost done.

The process: I spent a lot of time studying the Temple Guards, comparing their height to Anakin, estimated they were 6' tall making the pike 3' long, then I spent weeks breaking down the pike using its concept art.

Arm on Fire Custom Sabers made the 3D models. The University of Arizona machined it for me, and it was powder coated by a local business called Anderson Painting.

Common Questions I'm asked:

Q: Would you share the 3D models with me?

"No, I'm somewhat paranoid of people stealing my designs and making money off it. There's a certain saber company with a history of stealing designs and monetizing from them. I won't say who but let's say they forged their own bad reputation. I spent 4 years on this and I don't have plans to make these models and schematics public."

Q: What's it made of?

"6061 Aluminum, hard work, perseverance, and hard work."

Q: How big is it?

"It's a little over 3 feet in length, the thick ends have a 2" OD while the center hilt has the standard 1.5" OD."

Q: Do you plan to make more of these to sell them?

"No, this is a one off for personal use."

That aside, what do you guys think about my WIP? ^_^ I'm very proud of it.
