I don't suppose you have scans of any of the panels where the pants look white? I was reviewing the image gallery to try and find one, but all of the images I have show it as dark or darker than the tunic, and the toy shows the pants as blue. If we can find some where it look white to put in the reference gallery, I would totally be up for expanding the pant color range based on that.

Note that Leia's pants and Han's (canon, white) shirt are printed on the page in the same shade. Shading whites is extremly difficult in print media, it may have been intended as white, it may not have been, but it's a super reasonable interpretation of the images on the page to say "this color that is white in one frame is also white in another frame."
