EDIT: I’m going to use this as my build thread so I don’t have to make another post in the forum, if that’s ok.

Original post:

Hi, would the tunic in this listing be approvable by RL standards? Thank you.

Best

PS Sorry to make a whole topic to ask this question but I didn’t see another way to do it.

I think so though the fabric looks a bit thin. I might think about lining it.

Thank you for the feedback. If I decide to go with this seller I can ask them about adding a lining.

Best.

I originally created this thread to ask a specific question but I went ahead and converted it into a general “build thread.” The first part of my costume that I am working on is the belt. I purchased a leather belt base (haven’t weathered it yet) but now have doubts that it is acceptable: my concerns are with the rivets (they are horizontal whereas the screen used belt seems to have vertical rivets) and the width of the belt (too narrow?). Does anyone have an opinion they can share?

Thank you so much. I feel bad for asking so many questions but I am so new to all of this.

Screen accurate belt with rivers circled: (for some reason imgur flagged this pic as 18+ but I promise it is just an innocent belt)

Thanks Again for any and all help Smile

The only way to really tell if the belt width looks right is to have something to compare it to. Taking a picture with you wearing it would help. Smile

Gotcha, that makes sense! Thank you for all your help.

Here is the belt. I don’t have my tunic yet so I put it over a non-star wars related poncho haha:

Do you think the position of the rivets will be acceptable?

Thanks again Smile
