Xwing Helmet Auction Project for the Children of Brighthalls

Commending the awesome charity work initiated by BLM (Admiral Ackbar) earning him the RL Order of Stars Medal which was granted by the LCO Bill.

The proceeds of the auction are all to be handed over to Brighthalls Foundation, an institution caring for abandoned children. Billy organized a group of local artists who are also Star Wars fans to customize 4 Xwing Helmets depicting local heritage. The helmets were auctioned online for about a month and a half.

On March 19, Billy organized the RL Bagong Pag-Asa Outpost and brought available members to Brighthalls (some members of the 501st were also invited). The kids were cheered with the presence of Billy as Admiral Ackbar, Princess Leia, Poe Dameron, a Jedi and some troopers taking photos, playing and sharing lunch which Billy provided himself.

The proceeds of the auction were then handed over to the institution in a simple ceremony. Also significant was the discovery that on the following week, the institution has to move the kids to a new location because the lease on the current premises they are staying in has already expired. The donation gave them a fresh start such that the relocation and cost of hauling would be somehow pleasant in spite of the difficulty that the kids are in by not having a normal family.
