Yeah so I rocked the snowspeeder jacket at C2E2 this weekend, and I have to say I got so much better of a response from congoers than I ever did as just an Xwing pilot.

I was actually really surprised by that.

Can't wait to wear mine at WonderCon after having a semi-rough version of it at CV in the Snowspeeder.

Found this on my travels....hope it helps...

Nice pic!!!

I'm attempting to do this jacket for me and for a friend. The fabric I found is a little darker thant de flight suit. I thought is was supposed to be the opposite. But I see in this picture that it is darker.

Is it that big an issue if the fabric is lighter of darker than the flight suit?

Watch the movie and see who has a clean jacket! Laughing
In my opinion, if it's close to the color of your flightsuit, and happens to get dropped on a garage floor or 5, you shouldn't have much of a problem

Finally...I am close to finishing up my Snowspeeder Pilot...

I am putting the finishing touches on the underhelmet...

The jacket is finally done...
since I don't think this is a costume I will wear often..
I am just going to go with my regular boots and not spend the time and $$ making the other fabric boots...

If I find the right "starter" boots at some point...I may also do those..

I held off until I got my compad, and now I have a few minor repairs to my xwing stuff that I need to do so I can get photos done.

Phyllis that looks great! Smile Here's hoping for a quick approval chickpilot

I like the fact that your gloves don't swallow you. What kind did you use? I actually found some small welding gloves made for women but I had to paint the cuffs b/c they had writing all over them.

And I weathered my jacket with the dirty collar and sleeves. Does anyone else do that?

[No I haven't submitted yet... I'm using an "interim" flightsuit I slapped together for a parade, but I have someone making a "real" one for me for approval.]

The gloves are actually Italian Police gloves.....and then I had to sew on the gauntlets using gray duck cloth...

it was one of those "lucky" finds..
