As much as I hate, no loathe this character. I still can't help but consider the possibilities of doing this character, especially at conventions and such.
So, has anyone done this costume? I have some ideas kicking around about to pull it off. Anyone have any other ideas? Didn't the RL have someone working on a Bothan?

Kim of Sunrider was going to work on a Bothan.
I've never seen any interest in this character, but thta doesn't mean there wont' be _________________ R/S Original Trilogy LCJ

Thanks, I thought there was a Bothan, somewhere. I was wondering how to pull off making the mask....

Lol, a friend an I discussed it too. We came to the conclusion that all the Bothans are correct. We humans have three subspecies (caucasian, european etc.) why shouldn't the Bothans differ from each other? The snouts could lead to the home planet since Borsk is born on Kothlis, not Bothawui.
But I'd love to see a Borsk out there. One sinister Alliance supporter/Senator/Councillor/Justice Council Chair/Chief of State should be in every good working Rebel organization. ... Oh, and don't forget the fur. Chicks digg the extra fuzz. _________________ I'm a German boy. I can say Tschüss.

I always got the impression that Bothans were more goat-faced, than anything. The comic and action figure adaptations of Borsk, to me anyway, seem to hint at a goat face. I think that is the look I would go for.
To be honest, I don't really like most Bothans. I find their society to be a bit revolting, with the exception of a select few. Rogue Squadron had one that I liked....
With that said, I think the Rebel Legion doesn't have enough aliens in the mix. And, as already pointed out, the Rebel Legion needs the one sinister Alliance supporter... yada yada yada.
Yes, chicks dig the fur! Chewie is always trumping me at events! I figure that between the Cathar that I want to do and, possibly, Borsk (or some other generic Bothan), it would bring about some good diversity within the legion.

Yes, Traest was another Bothan that I could respect. He was Borsk's cousin, if I remember right.
I always liked the concept of his cream colored fur and.... were they amythest, or were they purple eyes?
I've been looking at the comic and action figure version of Borsk Fey'lya, and you know, it wouldn't all that hard to pull off. My biggest obstacle is the creation of the mask, which is something that I am soliciting help from the RPF, in regard to how to tackle the project.
I suppose if there were any latex goat faces to work with, like the "Vincent the Beast" mask would work for the Cathar, then that would be a good start. It is the ears that are going to be a challenge, as well, since they are so long. I suppose I will have to find some really unique, elongated elf ears, or something.

Northfur.ca has a lot of prosthetics.
Here's a "goat" nose
You could mix and match pieces. They also state they will do custom work, too _________________ ...Big Red, Standing By..... |

Thanks! It is a toss up between the Manga 6" and the Twilight ears.... leaning toward the Twilight, though. They are practically spot on for Borsk Fey'lya, or other Bothans, for that matters.

I appreciate the link. Liking that nose. I would just need to build up longer snout that is consistent with the Bothan face.
Thanks for the help! I guess, I am being committed to seeing this through, huh?

So here is an image of a typical Bothan:
So I was looking around that Northfur site, and you know, I think that kangaroo mask looks more spot on than taking that satyr nose and trying to build up a nasal bridge to attach it to. Am I making any sense?
Here is the link to the kangaroo mask:
http://www.northfur.ca/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83_90&products_id=350
The only downside is that, Borsk especially, Bothans seem to have ridges on their snouts, whereas this kangaroo is smooth. I think it can be modified, easy enough, though..... or I could just leave it as is.
I think making use of the evil brow would suit Borsk very well - even the Cathar for that matter.

I think I would still use those Twilight ears from that other company that Vera listed. I think they look the most spot on.
On a completely different note, I think I found the perfect applications for the Cathar, as well. Talk about one-stop shopping!

Thanks, again, for pointing me in this direction!
