It is the brightest lightsaber you have ever seen...seriously, it is, I can guarantee it.

I am proud to have this saber and blow minds wherever I go! Cool

One one my next costumes will be the "Old Ben" 's one. The first part of this project is my lightsaber.

It is made from Roman's and Park's part. a friend of mine "parfait lumière" fits them together. It is powered with a "nano biscotte" controller from Plecter Labs and illuminated with a Samsung Led (S3535)

I want to do this costume too!

Stephane....can you be specific about what parts you used to put the Old Ben lightsaber together?

Sure I can.

Well the pommel is from Roman's. The booster, the graflex clamp, the bubble strip and the grenade are from Park's. The emitter were machinated by "parfaite lumiere".

"parfaite lumiere" also modified the differents parts and machinated a ring of delrin who premise to screw the pommel on the booster. He also made an aluminium spacer who receive the speaker with little holes on the booster side to let the sound getting out of the lightsaber.

to weather the grenade. I put the steel part few months in soil in a planter.
to weather the brass part, I put it in the freezer. After few hours, I take a pot with a screw cap. put in it a little of ammonia, and put the brass part in the pot, but not in contact with the ammonia, and close the pot. The ammonia steam make a great weathering.
to weather the booster, just a gentle sanding.
I'd like to weather the clamp, but it is too weak. I will change it for a genuine graflex clamp.

"Parfaite Lumiere" is working on a Old Ben Lightsaber v2.0 with a reveal crystal chamber. I hope can be on the run.

Hi all,

I have just finished my very first "hardware" lightsaber, made of plumbing supplies and other bits and pieces. I am quite proud of it! I will be able to apply very soon as a Generic jedi with the Rebel Legion!

I included a D-ring, but I have a question regarding the hook that should go on my belt :
my belt is made of pleather and although my hilt is not very heavy, I am afraid that, when the hilt will be on the hook, either the pleather will tear, or the hook will detach itself...

I wanted to know what you have used as a hook and how you have fixed it on your belts... thanks for your advice![/img]

after a while a long while

i have finnaly REMADE my first lightsaber, its the same desighn just different PVC

and i made a second lightsaber aswell, its not as good as i hoped but i can always make repairs and make it BETTER this is what i have so far

i am hesitant to post this because last time one person made me feel like giving up entirely because i made mine on a budget this is the case again
my hours got cut at work severely so the FIRST saber ( top) the black and silver one with the red button, was made from recycled parts, ( just basicly upgraded)

the 2nd one ( bottom) the one with the grip holes was made for total about 11 bucks

i took pictures with them side by side to make a comparison of how far i have come and how far i STILL HAVE to come

the first saber ( top) was made a few years back with 75% sith in mind 25% jedi alot of people say it looks ""sithy"" yes t was designed that way

the newest one was made with 100% jedi in mind... i feel i could have done better but thats why i work on a budget, if i mess up..... the supplies are very inexpensive

My light sabers the first is my custom saber i created when i was first putting together my generic jedi costume several years ago. It is a simple Graflite flash conversion and a custom design for my NJO jedi costume[img}https://www.flickr.com/photos/117695525@N07/14452833254/in/photostream/[/img]

The second is a converted Graflex 3 cell turned into the best Anakin ROTS saber i could do with a converted graflex and not having it custom machined. I think it turned out pretty well.

I successfully completed my first conversion of a Master Replicas Mace Windu saber to a 3watt luxeon dueling saber. Soundboard, shock and motion sensors, and new blade housing are all in working order! It was pretty fun and I am looking forward to the next project.
