Report on progress:
I forgot to download photos from my camera, so this time only in written form withou photo documentation...
I've painted the shoes blue with leather paint and I made the brooch and clasp out of air dry clay. Both wasn't dry when I was leaving the house, so I have to wait till the next week to see how it has turned out.
I baught the fabric for the second type / the shawl-like type of cloak and my father should be working on bracelets which hold that shawl-like thingy, so... If everything goes well (especially the clasp and brooch - I'm not sure the clay will be OK), at the end of the next week I'll finish things up and post the complete costume. _________________ "I'll be honest with you Bob. Progress: DONE
So... Here are progress photos I forgot last time...
Shoes after colouring (I added one more layer of colour after that, to unite the colour more and get rid of those dots and stains etc.):
Brooch and clasp after they were made from the clay:
And here after I painted it gold:
And now, FINAL PRODUCT/COSTUME with both versions of cape (the second one really is transparent, but the flash made it to glitter more so transparency is not very apparent):
So what do you think? Should I try to approve it? Which one do you like more? _________________ "I'll be honest with you Bob. My name is not Kirk. It's Skywalker, Luke Skywalker." - Jack O'Neill in Stargate "1969"

Wow, both of them are really cool! Good job! I kinda like the first one more, but yeah, I think you should try to get BOTH approved . _________________ Check out my blog: http://anartistslifeline.wordpress.com

Very nicely done. I like them both too. Although, the bottom one seems to convey what the costume was meant to in the story line more, I think. (If I'm understanding it right.) _________________ ~Mieal |

That is a really tough call because they're both SPECTACULAR! I'd say go with either or; I like them individually for different reasons. _________________ Phoenix 06 / Warhawk 19 / Rouge Squadron 18

Hello from another Michaela We are rare enough that it's nice to say hi
I love the first version. The flow of fabric and the deeper colour are really very nice and add to the whole look. But as you have both.. I am pretty sure you can register both
And as an aside I have a lovely huge Czech article I need to translate It's all about Anna Jagalonske's burial clothes So I was looking at the paper under your sculpture and feeling guilty that I haven't started despite the museum being so kind as to send me thhe article four years ago.

Hi. Thanks for your opinion.
Wow! Really interesting link! I had no idea that people interested in medieval costumes would do so extensive researches in countries so far away. Do you need help with that translation?
BTW: My fellow member of Lion Outpost, Silvara, does medieval costuming and with her costuming group from Prague she attends many celebrations and historical events' reconstructions at castles here in Czech Republic. Maybe she could be another person with whom you could share the same passion. _________________ "I'll be honest with you Bob. My name is not Kirk.
