We are all fine here so far, no real damage to the metropolitan casket but in the Northwest area of the country the damage was hard.
we have no dead (there is a not yet conclusive report of a heart attack due to fright so we really don't know), 1 injured so far and yes, thousands of dollars in property damage. The streets cracked in several areas of Nicoya. Very likely a lot families have no roof to sleep under tonight except for shelters.
We are ready to start trooping to mass cash for victims and the such.
we'll keep you posted.
Please keep the affected in your prayers.

So far the reports state that in Costa Rica only (Although if it was only 1 it´s still a tragedy) 3 people dead 2 confirmed and once not (I can´t figure how a death can be unconfirmed after so many hours).
1 died of a heart attack due to intense fright produced by the intensity of the earthquake and at least 1 died due to a wall crashing on top of him.
4 people were reported dead in the shores of Nicaragua as intense waves sank a small boat.
there are, indeed hundreds of wounded and millions of colones in material damage, from homes being leveled to roads cracked in half.
more news as they come. _________________

It was a strong quake, but fortunally it's epicenter was on a not very dense populated area, so it's impact was on material damages (mostly old buildings and houses on soft terrains) and there was almost no loss of human lives.
From the initial shock it didn't pass, and all the legion troops reported fine and healthly.
Thank for asking, how are you? |
