Jeff,
I noticed your location listed as Chicago.
Chicago ILL. ?
I'm wondering if you will make it to Bartlett for the parade on the 7th of July?

I do live in the Windy City, however I am taking classes on Sundays, so I won't be able to make the parade. I plan on attending the Wizard World Con in August if the RL is going to be there.

We have the 4th of July parade in Racine, WI. on the actual fourth of July if you are interested in riding the best float EVER.
It would be very cool to get two Y Wing pilots together. Might be a first?

Not quite ... Phoenix Squadron (formerly the Warhawks) pulled that off at a SWW a few years back. It was Skaught and MILF_Viper.

But still ... GO FOR IT!!!! Thumbs up

Full costume with some tweaks: dirtier vest, longer leg harness, longer hose, new gunbelt with DH-17 holster, and the new Motorola Pageboy chestbox. I'm submitting for approval, wish me luck! But, I still want to change the tube inside the hose to something more flimsy. The vinyl tube holds its circular shape too well and doesn't hang right. But, don't think that'll effect my submission.

One event that we are planning is being in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade again.....as a Chicagoan...you know that the parade is nationally televised..

Jeff, you did an amazing job on this gray one!

Congratulations!

Your approval only can be a "formal" act of "bureaucracy"... Laughing

And there can never be too many of them....

I'm glad to see that you've finally submitted your costume-- took you long enough. Razz

Someone else is taking up your application, however just an FYI, but I think you're going be asked for a back picture, so be prepared for that. It may not be a bad idea to include a picture without your helmet, too-- I know sometimes judges like to see a "helmet off" picture.

Great job on the outfit, though. I doubt you'll have any problems getting it accepted.

As for the hose, I've heard that some people use rope to make the hose, which obviously hangs fairly loosely but still gives the cloth cover some shape. I use a hose from a CPAP that a family member gave me after they got a new one. It works perfectly. It's the right width, it bends great...

Alex was right, and they did ask for a back picture. Other than that, no word yet.

It shouldn't be much longer. Looks like the judge is just waiting for the picture to be Photoshopped.
