On March 9, 2013, members of the Corellian Base and Mid-South Garrison assisted the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee to help in the wish of a young boy named Ricky Rome. Members started too arrive around 8AM CST around 8:30 AM members headed into the theater to change into our costumes. At 9:45AM, the family showed up and headed to their seats in the theater where the party was. Members started together outside the doors and waited for our okay to enter the event; for when we got the all clear all walked into the venue for the shouts of children and adults filled the room. The room was so loud with children and adults in awe and even the flash of cameras made the event feel as a movie premier. However, the members of the groups stood center stage, and brought the young man that was receiving the wish center stage with us for it was his day not ours; for it was time for the big announcement. The big announcement that the young boy will be getting a free trip to Hawaii. After, this many of the children that were at the event came up to us and wanted photos and gave members high five, it was a great time held by all. As we went outside and pose with Ricky and his family we headed back to get out of our costumes. Ricky''s father and mother came into our changing area and thanked us personally for attending and helping make their son's wish come true. After the event members headed to a local restaurant to eat lunch and enjoy each others company.
A side note for when you bring the smile to a child's face I must say it makes everything you do in costuming even better.

Work has a tendency to interfere with a lot of things. _________________
