I can't find any good patterns to use for Leia's Hoth Jumpsuit. If somebody knows of something that I can use, please share! Smile Thank you so much.

I used Kwik Sew #2588. I believe it is out of print, however I saw a couple on ebay.

Hi there - I'll be making Liz's jumpsuit. I looked up the pattern and found this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIP-Uncut-Kwik-Sew-Pattern-2588-Misses-Jumpsuits-Sizes-XS-XL-Kerstin-Martensson-/360759524741?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item53fef17d85

But the sleeve set looks very weird to me, and it says it's meant for a stretch/knit fabric?

Is this the right one?

This is one of the patterns I found online that I'm looking at getting - it includes sleeve cuffs, a closer neck and looks less blousy than the first one:

Hey Kim what about the green pepper patterns? I found pattern 141 for the jumpsuit:

http://www.thegreenpepper.com/downloads/141web.pdf

and pattern 109 for the vest:
http://www.thegreenpepper.com/downloads/109web.pdf

I think the vest pattern would need to be modified a tiny bit though. The thing I love about the jumpsuit pattern is that the collar looks spot on.

http://audreytoo.blogspot.com/2005/10/hoth-leia-jumpsuit.html

this blog says that the green pepper jumpsuit has far too much ease to be of use (it's way too big), but the vest looks pretty good! good find!

I had no problem with the Kwik Sew pattern. As I posted earlier, I used the Green Pepper one for my Reserve TI Pilot flightsuit. I had to make adjustments in the sleeves - too much room there.

I'm not sure about the TI (TIE?) jumpsuit, but most of those at least don't look as close fitting as the Leia jumpsuit. I'm not entirely comfortable trying to adjust the sleeves and sleeve holes, as those tend to be the bane of my existence.

Took me forever, but I finally found the hoth leia vest tutorial, which uses a different pattern.

http://audreytoo.blogspot.com/2005/11/hoth-leia-vest.html

however, I might stick with the green pepper one.

No, the TI Pilot (TIE) flightsuits are not as form fitting as the Hoth Jumpsuit, but using the GP pattern still required some adjustments. Too much sleeve. Ick.

This is a great tutorial, as is the jumpsuit one. I followed both of them with nice results. Amadalia

Thanks a bunch for the input - it's nice to know someone else used the tutorial with success!

I made the mistake of asking my husband if he wanted anything from Green Pepper, since I'm ordering the vest and jumpsuit. So now I've got like 7 patterns coming in.

And he doesn't even sew.

Maybe I can teach him.
