This is my head so far. It has the back attached. I still have to put the spikes on top and wrap and weather it.

Pretty good, is it a kit or did you make it from scratch? If its a kit which kit is it?

I see you used mesh for the eyes and mouth, that is definitley the way to go, on mine I used lenses and it limits airflow plus the lenses fog up.

One thing to consider is installing some fans inside the helmet, you don't think about it until you're wearing it for a few hours but you'll thank yourself later if you do.

It's the "poor man's kit" from Dustin. I'm really happy with it.

You were right about the color being too light. I ran them through a dye bath with a darker brown and that helped a lot.
Thanks!!

He includes the screens with the kit. The lenses look cool but the screen is probably the way to go.

I am definitely thinking about putting in fans. The baseball helmet I used has large vent holes that the fan would fit in but there might not be enough room. I have a big head.

Who left Paul in here!!!!!!!!!! I think this was the one place in costuming I could go where he wasn't. lol.

Like I have said on FB, great build man. Can't wait till its official and to see you in it at some events.

So this opens the door eventually for a Klingon/Jedi crossover, right?

Heck, forget the Gaffi and carry around your Bat'leth with the Tusken...

Looks amazing so far. I'm not a costume judge but I definitley think you'll be approved. My only concern would be the outer robe looks a bit to short, in the movie they were close to dragging on the ground. Again photos aren't always the best interpretation of things and maybe it just looks higher because of how your standing.

It looks good. I didn't have time to read the whole thread yet... do you have wraps for the boots?

That's about the only thing missing or needed that I can see. (based on a quick look.)

Good job on the weathering. Cool

Thank you for all the encouragement!!

I am thinking about making a new, longer, outer robe.

I spent the last two days working on my gaffi stick, I can't wait to show you the pics.

When I took the pic the boot had not been wrapped yet.
I am wrapping them now.

Scott, a Bat'leth would be a great weapon for a Tusken. (I'm so going to take a pic with the Bat'leth the next time) LOL

I made a new longer outer robe. Tomorrow I will dye, stain, dirty and weather it up.
I got my boots done!

This is some test shots I took the other day. I realized that the boots, gloves, arm wraps and neck wrap needed more weathering. I weathered them today and will try to take more pics tomorrow.
Also you can see my Gaffi Stick. I have a Gaffi Stick build thread on the Krayt Clan Forum.
