This will go with my soon-to-be-finished husband's Han Solo and my twin baby ewoks.

Gown made in thin white knit. Gown self-lined, (hood not lined). No front/back or shoulder seams. Side slits. back-neck closure is hooks and eyes. Hood is open.

belt was made from a belly strip of leather painted white. metal parts from button covers and cut aluminum sheet.

Gun is "just for fun" a repainted stormtrooper blaster.

I need to work on my buns. Razz

Looks fantastic! Great job on the dress and belt. Leia Buns I love your family picture too. Amazing!

The only change I would make before sending in your photos for approval is your buns need to be bigger and flatter. They should cover most of your ears. You can incorporate extra hair extensions into your pigtails so that when you wrap the buns, they're thicker, or you can make a sort of insta-bun to put on over your hair. There's a ton of different ways to do it.

I'd leave that blaster out of the approval photos too, as it's not one of the two allowed blasters for the costume.

Great work! Very Happy

It looks awesome! The only thing you'd have to change is the hair, it's too poofy--but extensions or a nice wig could fix that pretty easily.

(And, as a side note, the baby Ewoks are adorable.)

The gown looks amazing! Smile I agree with Jenna, all you need is some extensions for the length of the buns, they should be able to cover most of the ears (if not completely cover them.) You did a fantastic job on the gown Smile congratulations!

Haha. That' one is mine.

It works best if you have shorter hair like me. I've seen other similar tutorials that made little bowls of buckram and attached the wig fibers to that instead of a flat piece of tulle, so there's more to hide longer hair.

For folks who have thicker or longer hair (below shoulder length at least) it seems easier just to loop in an extra extension to your own pigtails, thus making your hair twice as thick, and then twist that around, pinning it in place.

Yeah my buns need some work!! much thanks on the suggestions! I'll try again and see what I can do. This was just a comfy temporary fix so I could wear it for Disneyland.

I really like this: http://silentsong.toweroftime.com/bun-tutorial.html even though I'd read a lot of other ones… but I think this one might work well for me? anyway, thank you! I was kinda stumped on the buns!
