well, how bout that. buttons!

concerning how the top looks on the ROTJ character, it almost seems to zip together by how the collar comes closely together, almost like this is a jacket.

Darn it...you beat me to proposing this one!!! Agreement on my end. I have taken some more photos, but will have to download and then upload them. In a few of the images there are clearly two outfits shown in the same frame (one with the jumpsuit and one shirt/pants). I will work on getting these on here, but I will be away for work for the next few days. Stay tuned...same bat time, same bat channel.

Would anyone object to adding the option of a tan/gray shirt and pants combination to the requirements?

i just took a good look through jackets. Im sure things have changed over the yars. The style now seems to have a knit waistband. Removing this would take off a fair amound of the jacket for us taller people. I hae looked at a few "service" jackets that zip up and they all seem to have some sort of brand name logo embroidered on the chest, or a knit collar. Still looking at options.

Awesome!

Thanks for all of your updates...they are great.

Tomorrow I am taking my R2 to a photoshoot with a bunch of local Tusken Raiders from the Garrison....
for giggles...
I might wear my Endor Gunner costume cuz I never wear it on "official" troops....too obscure for most people...

Laughing

When you really get down to it...it would also appear that the "Gunners" don't wear the Endor headgear...

The "gunners" are wearing the Endor buckets behind Lando in the cockpit though...

I don't think 2 different standards are necessary. I kind of see this situation as similar to the Endor Trooper; just several possibilities.

I posted this in Dewka's build thread:

so....we may also be seeing two different characters?

The ones in the turret (with jumpsuit)as the "gunners"

and the other ones running around the Falcon (with shirt and pants) as "demolition experts" or "crewman"?

Shocked Shocked

2 different "characters"??

Should there be 2 standards??

Jason

first I am really, really glad to see this project moving forward. I have wanted to do it since PrincessSandy showed it to me so long ago.

The way I see it, with the six, count them SIX options to do this, there is no reason not to.

I do have a couple of points to address:

2 rank badges are on the uniform caped vest

and regarding the four leg pockets on the non-jumpsuit version---
from the bluray I cannot see the four leg pockets on the "zip up" (if this IS zipped up) of Cracken carrying the box into the Falcon.
I used Photobucket effect called Arizona to play with the colors. Note that now you can clearly see what is a standard work shirt pocket (dickies, cintas, etc) but I cannot make out any pockets on the pants. The effect also changed the colors quite a bit, indicating that these are two different colors to begin with (at least to me). This may seem like the easiest way out, without leg pockets, but Im just not seeing them on this particular photo.
With this photo we can now clearly see the buttonholes int he front of the shirt, and the shadow/shape of the right arm cap rank badge

also make note of the rectangular stitching on the cuffs. This makes me feel as if they added a tabbed closure like the other costumes would have. Why do that, and not the collar at the same time, if beyond me. I have converted a work shirt to a proper unifrom shirt with all pockets and deco strips for my Kilted tie.
