A Endor Squad for Dagobah is being put together. This is a lightweight, versatile, highly visually interesting costume that can be pieced together over time. This costume will cost a lot less than the X wing pilot run the Base did this year.

It has been suggested by the RAID Det staff to do all of the camo at one time so the camo paint jobs match, much like a functional military unit. Only the Khaki BDU Pants and Duster/hooded jacket get camo paint jobs. If you plan to do this costume, these are the first two items you need to get so we can proceed with a "paint your camo day"

Endor Commando Visual Guide / Costume Standard:
http://newsite.rebellegion.com/endor-commando-rebel-soldier-trooper/

Donut helmet order
http://www.forum.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=74951

AN-H-15 soft helmet
This is the tan cloth & leather soft part of the helmet. I just got mine in the mail from mountain princess here in the forum; it took about five weeks. Quality is Impressive. Most Impressive. She also has added an Etsy site. Enquire with her about the price, I do not believe that is correct on the Etsy site.

Pants
The first thing you need is a pair of Khaki BDU pants. This is where I got mine, but you can find Khaki BDU pants all over.
Just make SURE it is the 6 pocket BDU style and not the ACU or 5.11 style with slanted or too many pockets
http://www.ebay.com/itm/PANTS-BDU-KHAKI-6-POCKETS-MILITARY-CARGO-SIZES-XL-2XL-/170473576998?pt=US_CSA_MC_Pants&var=&hash=item6d6e51d775.

Hooded Jacket or Duster
There are four ways to wear the costume:
Hooded Jacket over T shirt
Hooded Jacket with Vest over T shirt
Duster over T shirt
Vest with T shirt

How you do it is entirely up to you. The Duster and the Hooded Jacket must be painted at the same time as the pants so they match.

The Duster should come to your lower mid calf. it is a VERY long lab coat and must be dyed tan. Search for a
tan 45" lab coat. If you are tall you will need to have it made from tan cloth.
The hooded jacket is a tan work shirt cut to the top edge of the belt and modified with a large hood. Or have one made, which is actually going to look better if you are tall.

The dusters take more paint than the hooded jacket. Several topics advise to buy more paint than you think you will need. Since a group is being done, a lot of paint will be needed.

T shirt
Sand color long sleeve T shirt. Preferably from the same maker so the colors match. Gildan has been suggested.
http://www.jiffyshirts.com/gildan-G240.html
Scroll down when you click on color selection, Sand is on the bottom row.

Boots:
http://www.zahal.org/products/scout-commando-boots?path_parent=153379
If you have feet size 12 1/2 or larger, get size 14 Palladium boots. I got those and they are snug but very wearable.
UPDATE:
I found this seller. The Zahal site says OD green and black, but this seller has the correct tan color with tan sole.

Gaiters:
Tan cotton duck gaiters and brass 1/4" eyelets. Should be 10 eyelets. I have made a full size pattern for this.

Pistol Belt:
this is a thin, cheap copy. You can find a much heavier cotton pistol belt on Ebay.
Note the metal buckle...do not purchase the modern plastic buckle.

http://www.omahas.com/pistol-belt-copy#.UnnQ5vmsiSo

You will also need at least 2 olive drab pouches. M14 pouches from online are perfect, but do not get modern MOLLE or modern plastic buckle pouches.
Four or more are better. You can mix and match, but stay away from modern pouches.

this is perfect and includes one belt and pouch. You need at least another pouch
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vietnam-Belt-And-Small-Arms-Pouch-M14/163212411434?hash=item260037c22a:g:P38AAOSwQxxbeyr7:rk:10:pf:0

Short, light-colored leather work gloves. I see these all the time. They are very light tan or light sandy color. Get them good and dirty. If you can find ball strap adjustments thats even better. Do not get the yellow leather gloves you find at Walmart.

A 280 or E 11 are needed as well.

http://www.rebellegion.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=40662

if you want to get super crazy you can get some 2" OD webbing from wampawear.com and make your own belt with these

this should work for the soft backpack that is an option. There are greeblies and ahose that need to be added. We can do that.

I have a lab coat pattern somewhere in my apartment if anybody wants. Also, another vendor for the boots is this one that I ordered from http://www.israelmilitary.com/paladium-commando-boots-sand-p-1146.aspx. Let me know if you need any help making these costumes. I have several vendors for different pieces saved in a favorites folder.

Evan now is the time to jump in. The only things you would need now are the pants and which ever top you choose so they can all be painted at once. See the visual guide for the tops you can choose.

Paul do you have any of your paint left? this project is going to take a LOT of paint.

unless you want to hold on to it for touchups over time, we can certainly use it.
I see several trips to michaels with a lot of coupons used to get the paints we need.

Paul that is an AWESOME list! I can tell you did your homework searching for that!

I have not heard of some of these places, so this is both new, and good info, to me.

I love the Czeck rucksack. I will definitely be picking that up this weekend!

On the shirts, we are going to try to pick up the long sleeve Gildan Sand colored T shirt through a local distributor. No painting needs to be done to it, we just need your shirt size. I would go one size "up" and shrink it. I find that "preshrunk" shirts still shrink.

regarding the paint day, we cannot do it until we get everyones parts that need to be painted in hand. That is why those components need to be purchased first.

I want to be wearing a full Endor trooper at Allcon, so my target date for approval is well before then.

Here is the link for a 40% off coupon for Micheals. Not sure if the Design Master brand is sold at Joanns. [* note---yes---but none of the colors we need!]

http://weeklyad.michaels.com/coupons/

Design Master brand paints.
There are several colors requierd, listed in the Visual guide and the Endor Bunker tutorials.

I'm interested in doing this as well - probably the hooded jacket and eventually the vest.

Might make a Rebel out of me yet... Smile
