I submitted my X-wing pilot pics today but I forgot I never even made a build thread.
I made the belt, ejection harness, leg flare holder and gauntlets myself (modified gloves). Painted the helmet in the Blast Shield style, one of my favorites as as kid!
Pics below.

Great looking build. Congrats!
Be conscious of where your harness loops are sitting at your knees. You might want to shorten the harness a bit to get those loops to sit above your knees. Be wary when walking up or down steps that your loops don't get your legs tangled up. _________________ Steve Vitale (loosetoon, TB-2719, Strike 2)

Thanks Steve and good tips.
When I was walking around taking the photos the knee loops would get caught on the knee pocket flaps. My harness attaches to the underside of my vest, and there's room to move it up or down in the front and back. I can keep it lower for "canon" looking photos or raise it up a few inches for walking and events.
Thanks! |

Ah, the ejection harness... They're the death of every pilot.
I don't know how many times I've tripped on my ejection harness. What's worse with the A-wing/B-wing/Y-wing pilot harness is that the gaiters have those buckles on the sides, and when I walk up the stairs the harness often gets caught under one of the buckles and... well, I'm sure it's not hard to guess from there. >>;;
I've learned to pull up and hold my harness when I take the stairs. Or I take the elevator and save myself the trouble. _________________ B-wing Pilot - Jedi - Resistance X-wing Pilot - Temmin "Snap" Wexley

Thanks for the feedback. I've shortened the knee loops by 2" just in case, and I can raise the harness a couple inches if need be. |

No doubt! Too clean for sure.
I wanted to make sure I was approved before weathering everything up a bit. It always looks odd to have a dirty helmet but no dirt anywhere else! |

Nice job!
Yeah, I've hogtied myself a few times with the ejection harness when kneeling down for pictures... |

Once you get the harness set it's good from then on. it takes a few adjustments. Just make sure the loops stay above your knees on stairs! _________________ Proud U.S. Army Veteran
