any progress updates?

I have been slacking a bit lately. (Work and family.) But I have finished a lot of the pants, including most of the back. I will be working on the shirt next.

I also received my toes and got a status this morning that the mask should ship this weekend or Monday. Smile

Thanks for asking,
Kevin

Work has gotten totally crazy over the last few months. But my plan is to get back to it tomorrow.

Btw, my company is doing a class in Orlando the week after next, anyone in the area want to get together for dinner?

So long time without posting. Basically I ended up selling what I had. Sadly I was having trouble latch hooking without ending up in lots of pain in my knuckles. They think it is rheumatoid arthritis. (Still doing tests.)

I sold the stuff to a friend in Texas who will be finishing it. (I made him promise.)

After watching TLJ though I am really upset I didn't finish this.

If you want to do it, recruit friends and family. The truth is, many of us did not tie it all by ourselves. I did my pants and one arm, my dad did the rest of the shirt.

With Chewie, it takes a village, or perhaps a base/garrison.

Matt is 100% right. I'd never have finished without at least the encouragement from friends and family (and some awesome folks here) In the end it took me two and a half years. You could always start again Smile

Dang you all! Wink You are right and between your comments and TLJ, I have started the process again. I talked to my family and have drafted them. I ordered the hair, boots, a mask (from the same guy who made my last one), and mesh. I sew the suit tomorrow and will receive the hair Tuesday (supposedly.)

Thank you! Really I appreciate the encouragement.

Working on this still. The mask is due to ship tomorrow. (I hope) I have decided my boots don't make me tall enough so I just added foam to the bottom. It is drying. Smile

Ok I finished adding to the boots. I used exercise foam and LOTS of shoo goo and electrical tape.

It makes me 83" tall, but the compression of the foam makes it feel very unstable. I think I need to give in and just build a wooden platform to attache the boots too.

Making progress. Mask should ship soon. Way past when he said but coming.

I decided to try my hand at making the toes. Looking at pictures of others I started.

That is the foot part.
Very Happy

Kevin.

So exciting news (for me.) and then some steps back and back forward. Smile

First, I threw out the foot I made. It spread out as it was hardening and became way too wide. We remade it and the below is what we have.

I smoothed it out and will create the mold when I get home this weekend. (Traveling again for work.)

I also finally got my mask in. It is beautiful I think.

We have a plan for the latchhooking and will be building the bandolier. I received the ElvisTrooper greeblies for it also.

Very excited. Smile

Any idea on the images not showing? I can access the links directly (even without being logged into Facebook) so not sure why they don't load?

So are you saying that imgur is the only supported platform? That doesn’t seem right.
