I've been wanting to make a Havoc trooper for a couple years. The kits for sale out there are pretty awesome, but being a bigger guy with a gut, not sure they would fit me well. I have experience doing other types of armor, but want to make a set to be rebels approvable.
I can't seem to find definite answers on what materials are allowed.
One method is you use EVA/Craft foam and give it a nice hard "candy" shell. It can get expensive, but I have the material already.
Pepakura, fiberglass resin & bondo. Of course if I go this route, I could then vacuform it so it won't be as heavy.
Or just using 3mm Sintra and pepakura templates. |
