Dear Royalty, Senators and Rebels.

I'm new to this forum, but would be very interested in joining the Rebel Legion. The costume I'd love to build would be 'Bail Organa Jedi Temple'.

ttp://www.rebellegion.com/senator-bail-organa-episode-iii-revenge-of-the-sith-jedi-temple/

Before I start doing something totally wrong I would have some questions beforehand... I hope somebody can help me here and give me some tips.

- Jerkin: practical issue -where should I put the 'opening / cut'? under one arm? I guess on the back it wouldnt look that good...

- Belt: the symbols seem "embossed" which is very very expensive (at least here in Germany). May I engrave them or somehow paint them?

- Boots: ordinary black jedi Boots you get in many shops are ok? Of course I would add this requested strap.

Thats it for now... probably more to come.
Many greetings from Munich, Germany.

I can't answer all your questions, but I'd put the invisible zipper under one of the arms. That should keep it nicely hidden.

I did a quick google search, but didn't find a clear photo of the belt? Do you have a clear one? It's hard to answer the question without a clear photo. The general rule with paint vs other media is that if you can fool us that it's right with paint than go for it.

As for the boots, standards call for "Knee-high black leather or leather-like boots with a wide half strap over the front of each ankle." so I would think that any jedi type boot would be fine just as long as they have the proper strap.

thanks already. this is the best picture I found about the belt:

there is a technique where I could 'burn' the symbols and then slightly paint them... should come pretty close (if thats allowed...)

Engrave... I'm assuming we are talking about the pouches? I think they could be engraved. And the smaller symbol in the middle could be made with some thin material you could then paint silver and glue on. As long as it looks good you are fine. Smile

Worbla may be a good solution to make the golden element. Might have been made of metal or resin in the original version.

The white/ light grey piece is some kind of fur, in my opinion can be a sheepskin.

I agree with Sehanine. The gold looks to be some sort of metal, but can be made with other materials and painted, and the white/light grey looks like wool or something like that.
