I'm thinking about building an Anikan Skywalker outfit from Revenge of the Sith and after reading the description in the Costume Standards section of the home page, I started scratching my head. So I checked every still photo of Hayden Christianson in that outfit and from everything I've seen the only brown his EP 3 outfit is the pants and Robe. Can anyone please help me?

It's all browns, no black. See the screen caps at http://starwarsscreencaps.com/ and the book on the costumes from the prequel movies.

More info now that I found my book.

_Dresing a Galaxy_ has some good pictures in the Jedi chapter. It's all dark brown with chocolate brown (really dark brown) lather tabards.

Good detail in your pics, but the color need some work. They are way to the warm side. A cooling filter in photoshop helps. If you have raw images, you can try setting the white balance to tungsten and see what that does. I expect it'll bring the colors more in line with the photos in the books.

Nice contrast and detail in the pics. Shows the fabric texture really well.

dannv is right, the only thing black on the costume is the spandex sleeve under the glove

the costume was displayed on a 'set' that was made to look like tattooine, with the full sized AOTC speeder bike, a painted backdrop, and amber floodlights to represent the sun.. hence the warm tone of the photos.. but the colors are actually not far off.

here is an official "Lucasfilm" photo from the same exhibition, with better color balance.

the costume is much lighter brown, than it appears in the film.

The color corrected version is much "browner" than yours, which has a very yellow (warm) tint to it. your second picture is very close to the ones in the _Dressing a Galaxy_ book, although based on the highlights I'd guess it is a little over exposed to keep texture in the darker areas and only have the shadows go really dark.

Most movies adjust color in processing. Maybe darker, maybe adding a slight color cast to give a feeling, etc.
