Event name: Nekocon 2015
Event Address: Hampton Convention Center
Website: http://nekocon.com/
Time and Date: November 6 through November 8
Event description: Anime Convention
Costume types requested: ALL
Secure Changing space: no
Hydration provided: there are water jugs throughout the convention hall. I would recommend bringing your own cup
Passes provided: pending
Blasters/Lightsabers: yes, but subject to security inspection (usually not, but someone almost always gets asked to submit)

We are supposed to have a table, and they have requested 4 panels from us.
I am assuming that we will do the Meet the Rebel Legion panel, and I have an Armor building panel I intend to do for the Rebel Legion (focuses on Vacuumforming and not armor per se). That leaves us needing 2 more panels.

At present my plan is to repeat last year of having the table there Fri & Sat, do whatever panels I need to do and that be it since I'm going to have to drive from Williamsburg each day to be there

notify me if the following things change:

- if they insist we be there table and all on Sunday

- if the power situation changes (open to going into purchase of power with a 3-way/4-way split if the 501st, Mando Mercs and/or R2 Builders want to split the cost) [if it suddenly becomes available via the con, then I need to know to bring the laptop/monitor for the display]

- when we finally get our panel times

I just received the list of panels, the rooms they are in, and the times they are scheduled for. Please note that in the past these have been changed by the convention staff at the last minute. I'll keep on top of it and get the information posted here (and at the table during the convention) if it changes.

The panels are as follows:

501st:
Meet the 501st
Friday Panel 4 1-2pm

Armor Building Techniques
Friday Panel 4 7-8pm

Dressing and Rigging a Trooper
Friday Panel 4 10-11pm

Building Costumes with Different Mediums
Saturday Panel 3 4:30-5:30pm

Wiring and Lighting Costumes
Saturday Panel 4 9:30-10:30pm

Costume Research and Design
Sunday Panel 4 11am-Noon

Rebel Legion:
Meet the Rebel Legion
Friday Panel 3 6-7pm

A Weapon for a More Civilized Age (put on by the Saber Legion)
Saturday Panel 3 7-8pm

Vacuumforming 101
Sunday Panel 2 2-3pm

Rebel Costumes
Sunday Panel 3 3-4pm

As far as the table power goes, each table will have to buy their own hookup. That runs in excess of $60 (trying to get specifics).

Very cool event and about 10,000 people easy! Thanks for all you've done Rick and if a certain event doesn't happen, I'll try to make it down to play.

$60 isn't bad, as long as the badge is free

Rick, do you know if they are giving us badges free? I would like to go, but since I live in Newport News I would come home in the evenings.

I'll start by throwing in 30.00 for power if anyone wants to help with the rest or if you want to offer the mando mercs & or 501st power just to split the cost.

I wanted to be prepared to come tomorrow so I have a couple of questions. First, am I paying to get in or do I have a pass? Is there a certain time I need to be there by? Who is going to be with me? Thanks!

I'll be arriving somewhere in the 11-1 range and staying til close.

Rick C should be there as well as Conley

as for a badge, I am unsure, I believe we still have 1 unclaimed pass since Andy Robb was not able to make it yesterday, I do not know if he is showing up Sunday
