I have so many outfits and props that I want to do so I started this thread.
Got this bucket last week and this is how it came out!

After the trim I had to see how it would look, seems fine! Smile

Had to fix a few things. The plastic was too thin and screws too large..

Painting is always fun. Started with gray, black then silver and last the general color it will be in.

It turned out great but it is really tight. Wink

Here is how it looks with my other buckets! Must get an Y-Wing helmet next! Wink

Cool! You've got a collection of helmets there I see.

I see the makers of that chest box did a few of the same interpretations that I did when drafting the blueprint for Obi Anne's box. Weird that they choose to vacuuform the cooling flanges. Did the kit not include greeblies and the lower part? Confused
I still have supplies left, and maybe templates...

No the chestbox part was only an added bonus to the helmet I got. A few things is missing but that will be fun to hunt for. I might even have some parts but after building the helmet I will take a rest, the outfit will have to rest. Wink

I have been lazy the last week but I did do alittle work on the pilot outfit!

I did find some fabric to make the gaiters and the details on the future vest and chest box. The reason the "role" part looks weird is that I sew it by hand..

The last picture show the type of coveralls I will attempt to ruin when I make the flightsuit. Laughing

If I could only find the fabric for the vest and figure out how to make it I´ll be on my way soon. Cool

For the fabric my advice is to go into second hand stores and look for old woollen coats or military blankets. I used a long coat that I cut up.

I am happy to say that I´ve made some progress with the pilot vest!
It might even be done. I attached the hose to the box and made the belt.
Next I will fix the crash webbing!
The flightsuit has not arrived yet but I also must fix the gaiters so I still have a big workload ahead.. But it is nice to get some results after all this time! Cool

No big news but I got the overalls this week so I will soon start working on those but right now I´m fixing the gaiters.

I did try it all on to see if I was going in the right direction and I think it might work. Very Happy

Getting closer day by day!
Today I made some new belt flares and worked on the gaiters.
I have also started with the flightsuit. Cutting out pockets to add later and I used the X-Wing suit as a template.

I guess I will need to go orange now when you will have a better green pilot than me.

/grumpy voice/ In my days there were no fancy HD movie still or suppliers for the materials /grumpy voice/

Yesterday I finally fixed the flightsuit!
The commpad pocket, collar and zipper was added so I belive that I am done?!

I will not send in photos for approval yet though. I will add some details to the suit, vest and chest box first!

Maybe get a few days of rest in before I start on the next ROTJ uniform?? Cool

Hi again!
Now I have added some weathering and a light to the chest box. Might add one more light though..

It is not the best looking chest box out there but I hope it will work with the rest of my uniform.
I just need to take some good photos and apply to get it approved..

Now I think a rest is in order before I start on the next uniform!!
I got fabric for maybe 90-95% of the new outfit and need to make some small props for it too. biker
