Have a general run down of the Poe's / Finn Flight Jacket version? Myself and several of my base members will have this one complete soon. Mine.. hopefully within the next few weeks. I can cross two things off of this list that I have so far. Laughing

I have posted my comments regarding the proposed standard in the other topic. This detailed breakdown needs one critical information - on what body size it's based. There are pilots who are over 6feet tall but they are pilots who are 5ft. So point of reference is the key. I will read through this later and provide further comments.

Glad to see this coming to fruition!

Couple notes:

- No mention of weathering in there. Is that deliberate? I think weathering is important for this costume.

- I'm not convinced that Snap doesn't have the knit cuffs on the flight suit sleeves. Although I am not doing a Snap face character, I did try to replicate his flight suit look and fit, and it is possible (and even likely) the knit cuffs are just not visible. See the pic of my costume below... you can JUST see the knit cuffs peaking out.

Good detailed writeup, Greg!
I had a couple points of suggested changes, but I made those instead on the new main thread for the simplified standards that Jon started....

Do we have any confirmed fabric that looks good enough for the suit?

I'd say look for color and general texture. I don't think there is anything official yet on that, and until we actually know what was used, it would be hard to require something specific. I know a stretch denim has been used and the pics I saw of those looked good.

Hopefully the stretch denim is okay, I've been using that and will be for my second iteration but will dye the ruffle elastic this time around

Cordura nylon or a coated canvas? Something like this:

Our squadron (Massiff, Mos Espa Base) has gone with something similar but lighter in weight:
https://www.fabric.com/buy/ug-619/richloom-solarium-solar-outdoor-cherry

Ends up looking like this:

We like it. It seems to wear well so far, and the color seems to be damned close.

When you guys are discussing the Orange.com color matching, are you suggesting building an entire flight suit from the fabric? If so, how would I go about doing that? Are there plans online for fabricating one?
