Hi guys, I'm working with a seamstress and wanted to see if any of the folks that got their flight suits approved already could let me know which fabric they finalized and approved. It is still questionable after re-reading the thread(s) whether it is the Condura Orange from Rockywoods or the Solar Cherry from fabric.com, etc.

Thanks!

Although I am not doing a Snap face character, I did try to replicate his flight suit look and fit, and it is possible (and even likely) the knit cuffs are just not visible. See the pic of my costume below... you can JUST see the knit cuffs peaking out.

Could you tell me more about the cuffs, please? I like the look of the cuffs on Poe and I'd like to try to replicate that.

What did you use for fabric? Anything else I need for that?

Have wampawear gloves been discussed?

https://www.wampawear.com/product/resistance-pilot-split-thumb/

What is with the tightening straps on the bottom. I don't see those in any reference photos. Are the imperial boots gloves more accurate?

Here my take on this......

Imperial Boots gloves - $80 plus shipping. Shipping probably $25 since it is coming from EU. Total $105

Wampawear gloves $60 plus $10 shipping (in the US). Total $70

It does not cost you a penny to take that strap off unless you have an additional $30 to burn.
Quality of workmanship and leather of both gloves are pretty much the same.
Both gloves are replica.

BTW.....movie used gloves used to have the strap but was removed. I do have the original gloves.

Your choice..........................

P.s. If you removed the strap......It will be screen accurate Wink lol.

So, Will Wampa Wear gloves, sans the bottom strap, get you a passing grade into the legion? If I'm going to pay $70 I'd hope there accurate enough to pass judging.

Nearly bought the whole bolt of Solar Cherry from Joanns this past weekend with a coupon combo. Not as great as the full 60% coupon, but good enough to get started.

Also to note that the JawaChopShop helmet is not the most accurate. There are a number of inconsistencies I'm trying to remedy as much as is possible. Sigh. 20 / 20 hindsight.

Hi peeps,

Just wondering if there're other alternatives for the Boots? The ebay vendor listed here ran out of the size i need...

Also for the gloves, for Poe iirc its the split thumb yea? Wampa ran out of the split thumb. Reckon its possible to buy the non split thumb, dismantle the thumb armor and cut them and reglue them to the gloves?

Thanks peeps!

Sorry if it's in this long thread somewhere and I missed it, but I'm helping out another member who is just starting to work on this one. He said there was a sticky topic that had a pattern for the flight suit but it appears to have been taken down. Is there a pattern available at all? Or is there a good WIP with pics someone can recommend? Any help appreciated.
