I just found out about this. I have full Jedi stuff or can do an X-wing pilot - but at this late date, is the event still on? Are they expecting anyone to come?

I feel very unsure about doing it alone. Is there anything specific they want? A script we follow, even sort of?

From what they said, it's just a standard meet and greet. Just show up at around 6pm, get into costume, then just talk to the kids, and take photos with them. It lasts until 8:30, but you're free to leave anytime beforehand, they have a presentation about how the Jedi code is similar to their Boy Scout code, which is why they wanted Jedi there. But again, if you can't make it, it's alright, no pressure.

I just checked to make sure I have all the pieces for the Jedi. Than I had a brainstorm and tried them on to make sure they fit. .... *hangs head* They do not. Even the tunic crosses way lower on my chest than it used to. I would not be able to be an appropriately dressed Jedi.

It's alright. All these blue and golds seems to not be good for people to attend. Not sure if it'a the season, or just bad timing, but thanks though!

We usually get a swarm of B&G dinners all over VA in Feb/Mar

Some get attended down in Southeast VA, while the vast majority go unattended

The vast concentration of the B&G dinners is northern VA, due to our being seen at Air & Scare, the problem though is that Air & Scare is made up in attendance by 95% of RL members from either outside the base territory or more than an hour away, on average 2 or more hours away.

So all these Scout leaders and such see us there, then book us for events around northern VA, and they go by the wayside.

We really need to hopefully find more recruitment opportunities in the Northern VA area and in the closest neighboring area Fredericksburg/ Spotsylvania.

Hence why we're working on that Spotsylvania Town Center Event.

Liz, for now thought start cross posting all Northern VA events with Terrapin Base, they might be able to send a few people over now and again.
