I completed my Chest box today. But I don't know what to do for the backside to attach it to a vest. Are you guys using clips? Velcro? If anyone has a photo of how you are doing it, Please post it.

I'm planning on taking the clip from the back of a tape measure and using that.

Indeed, looks like they used a springy belt type clip. I got them at a local leather store for $2 each, but some folks are buying super cheap tape measures and such and scavenging the clip.

The clip should mount top-center of the back of the box. The clip then clips to the cloth loop that's sewn over the zipper placket on the suit, a few inches below the neck. To reduce the flopping around of the box, I also mounted a rare-earth magnet in the back of my box, and one on the chest plate of the vest.... this allows the box to pivot and bend around if need be.

... indeed, it would be handy to have some kind of visual manual of the parts, i'm busy to read thread by thread to find answers for this build.

Why not use magnets. glue to the back and then onto a small metal plate onto the inside of the flight suit. Like on the rank badge for Imperial Officers.

The accurate way to attach the chestbox to the suit is using a metal clip. That's what the loop on the suit zipper cover is for, the chestbox clips onto it. Smile

I used a belt clip from a tape measure that I bought at the Dollar Tree. I stuck two screws in it so that it wouldn't rotate and it works just fine.
