It's tough to confirm so far in advance, but barring unforeseen events, I can make it. |

Summary
This event was a 5k walk/run that benefited autism awareness and research. Ghost Base was asked to attend by Garrison Carida of The 501st. According to the event's donation tracker at http://www.autismspeakswalk.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=1154577 over $450,000 was raised to help support vital research and programs that are changing the future for those who struggle with autism.
Although we did not take part in the 5k itself, we served as a photo opportunity and entertainment for the public. Initially, the weather seemed to deter attendance as it was a rain or shine event but the turnout was great as the day progressed. We had great interactions with the kids and their families, many of whom live with autism their selves. JD did an excellent job taking photos for us and helping with crowd control. |
