The Campaign Against Cancer Tournament is a coast-to-coast tournament held to help raise funds for the American Cancer Society. We arrived to the game's sponsors and they immediately expressed how much they loved us being able to come out and help support them. The tournament had about 30 contestants enter of all ages. After suiting up, we spent most of the time on the sidewalk outside welcoming players and waving to the passing traffic. Plenty of photos with random passerbys too, which was cool. We kitted down around 1 and were treated to snacks and drinks from the store and watched some the players finish their Round 1 matches. The weather held out for us, as it was really humid in the morning. Wasn't too hot, and there was a nice breeze throughout the day coming off the Toms River. Made it much easier to stand outside.

When I checked out the shop 3 weeks ago, it looked perfect for the troopers we had. However, this past week we doubled attendees and it caused our changing room to become cramped. We had to de-kit in shifts. Additionally, the store employees didn't show up until 9:30 so the early arrivals had to spend about a half hour waiting outside for that. Wasn't a huge deal, as we probably would have spent that half hour inside still just talking, hah. Lastly, I didn't realize that the parking garage I said was free only applied to the upper level. At least the meter parking was very cheap compared to what I am used to over in Seaside.

For a fundraising event against cancer, there sure were a lot of smokers and vapers at this tournament.
