This pattern is pretty easy to work from and I like it!
When I get my lacing for my girth belt, I'll kit up in what I have ready thus far and see how it all looks. I'm pleased with the suede colors! My bandolier kit and boot disks should be here Thursday and I may work on that before starting to draft my spats.
Pardon selfie mode, photo assistance is unavailable ATM
The only thing I'm not happy with is I attempted to use my blind hem foot on the bottom hem after having a few practice pieces. So I may redo the bottom hem. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

Bandolier kit and boot disks have arrived! HUZZAH!!
All resin pieces got a good scrubbing and hit with primer. It's cloudy today so garage lighting was less than ideal. Everything got a base coat of silver. All but the boot disks got a coat of black. I'll have to touch everything up tomorrow before weathering. (If it's a sunny day.)

Thank you, Lora!
Lighting was muuuuch better today with sunny skies and a bright garage. Getting better lighting in the garage for painting and other work is on the to-do list.
Anywho! Today, everything got touched up with black. Then the weathering began! I misted german grey then sky grey over the pieces.
Afterwards came the dry brushing with flat aluminum!
Next up, umber wash for extra grime and blending!
Now to move onto stitching up the webbing and to remember the specific 'X' and triangle stitches by the buckle and on the shoulder. I'll in all likelihood be screwing/riveting the greeblies and cylinders to the bandolier for security. Glue + weight of the parts just doesn't feel secure enough. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

Greeblies are looking good.
And I just love that word: greeblies. Heh. Used to describe any odd item you can't really categorize. _________________

Well, you get to weather the costume, and that's kinda like painting, isn't it? _________________

AYUP!!!
And experiment with the india ink drip bath! Muwahahahaha!
I started putting the bandolier together today in terms of stitching the 'X' and stitching the code cylinder straps in place. I'm not happy with my X. I may pick the stitches and redo it. My gray thread is too close a match to the nylon webbing. Also working on locating the soldering iron so I can poke holes in the nylon to screw and/or rivet greeblies and the cylinders in place. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

It's not often you hear someone complain about something being too close a match. _________________

LOL. Well... I'd like the thread to be a darker shade. I'll take photos with flash later to see how well it shows. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

Allergies have been beating me up something fierce, so after a few days downtime with that... back to work!
I laid out the greeblies to arrange placement and see where I needed to poke holes in the bandolier. I prefer to use a soldering iron since nylon melts when heated so the hole poked doesn't fray to pieces.
I HATE my first attempt at the box with the 'X' beneath the greeblies. It was clumsy and lopsided. So I removed those stitches and remade the box.
I am not happy with my shoulder triangle stitching.
Box and 'X' redone. MUCH happier with this one. Now to get some washers for the screws so I can attach the greeblies.

Box looks so nice redone- the triangle is fine but re-doing it more cleanly will make you much happier in the end I am sure. Weathering is great! _________________

Yeah I think I'm redoing the triangle. UGH Costuming problems right?
I have my boot disks painted silver but am looking over techniques on making them look tarnished.
I also may be buying my belt supplies here soon. What's the width on the belt? 1.5" or 2" width for the leather? I don't see it specified on the RL side. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

Good catch! I think it is 1.5 but I would say either 1.5 or 2 is acceptable. _________________
