My shoulder armor and tank kit finally arrived, so work may commence! My pants also arrived from Clothears.
The shoulder armor is in three pieces and will probably need some heat shaping.
The tank kit is pretty darn complete with everything needed.
I got the greeblie areas on the larger tank cut out.
Pretty darn close. I have some sanding and rounding to do in the cutouts.
Due to the details on the greeblies, I decided to paint them separate from the tanks.
I blended the three paints to achieve the metallic blue. It's a little lighter in direct sunlight. I call this a win.
I blended the green and the white for the misting on the smaller greeblie.
Currently, copious amounts of e6000 are curing on the larger tank and the round side greeblie. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

Thanks!
If it helps someone else, my work here is done. I'll be doing some more work here in a little bit on the tanks. I'm probably over thinking on attaching the bar to the tanks. It came in three pieces that will need glueing together. I think I'm going to glue the bar to the tanks, but make pilot holes so I can also use screws for additional security.
All the greeblies on this costume. Holy moly. All I'm seeing in my head is down the line, all of them falling off mid-event. So I'm thinking ahead on how to best secure various pieces. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

I picked up upholstery twill today for my cape. (On sale, plus coupon plus end of bolt discount.)
Last weekend, I glued the circular greeblie to the tank, last night I used Tamiya putty to fill in the teeny bit of gap left between the resin and PVC. I also smeared marine putty to the inside of the tank to further secure the circular greeblie. I wanted to make sure it wasn't going anywhere. Sanding to come later.
While I wait for the glue on my U-rod to cure, I made my stencils.
Up next, putting pilot holes into the tanks for attaching to the plate. The U-rod should be cured enough for gluing into place in a bit.
Priming and base coats to come tomorrow, if all goes well. _________________ Alpha 75 - "No Instructions? No problem!"

It doesn't feel like I got a lot of work done, but waiting for glue to set gets in the way of progress!
The U-rod and tank tops have been glued and secured into place. I did some bondo work, light sanding, primed and gave the tanks a base coat of TS-38 Gun Metal from Tamiya.

The stencils, black misting and green mist got applied this past weekend. Storms locally messed with my lighting in the garage so slowed down my work. This weekend, my goal is to start doing the scratching and distressing to the paint layers.
