This was our second year at 3 Rivers Con (Their 2nd year as well) and it was just as much fun and awesome as it was last year. Todd and New Dimension Comics, puts on a great show! They made sure that we were always hydrated (it was pretty warm in the building) and fed. There is a room where the NDC crew keeps water, soda and coffee stocked all day along with snacks and pizza is ordered several times of the day for all vendors to enjoy.

Ghost Base and Carida's tables were all along the same wall which was nice having our own space with nobody on either side of us. Carida was able to utilize the card banner and BaT banner as well. NDC loaned us their Yoda and R2D2, which made for fun props and the fans loved getting their pics with them (and us of course). One of the unique things about the con is our dressing area. Since this is in an old retail store, there are dressing rooms for us to use. It's nice having our own personal dressing rooms.

On Saturday, we made Mark Waid an honorary member of the Rebel Legion. When RL members went to his table, he just thought we were regular people coming to say hi. Once he saw what Bobby presented to him, his mouth dropped and he was shocked that this was happening. He was so appreciative and happy that this happened to him. He even signed one of his comics for us to use in Jackson's Jedi auction to charity.

Here are some of the fun things we did over the weekend (there were a lot but these are highlights).
--Jim came up with the idea of doing a skit with the Emperor (taking a note from Robot Chicken) and having him on the carousel and the troopers spread around it. You can view the video here: https://www.facebook.com/cook1864/video ... =2&theater
--Jeremy (The Emperor) and Matt (The Jedi) had a Jedi/Sith dance off. There is video of this, and I sent it over to Jeremey to edit. Once it's done, we will upload it. All I will say, is there was a surprise contestant and that person ultimately was the winner.
--Michael, fellow 501st visitor from Arizona, is a really great dancer! https://www.facebook.com/cook1864/video ... =2&theater
--Newly transferred 501st members, Jess and Shaun from Vegas, trooped with us Saturday. Carida is very lucky to get these two, they are fun and fit right in with us. We are so happy to have you two!
--I have a few more videos that I'm trying to put together and will post those when done
--GB CO dressed in his Jedi on both days! This is big and needed to be mentioned. lol

One thing I need to note is the amount of guests we spoke to about recruitment. Last year, we talked to a few. But this year, throughout the weekend, we spoke to a couple dozen people about what we do and gave them cards for both Legions. We even have already had 1 of the recruits sign up on the Ghost Base forums! From what I witnessed this weekend, this con is going to be a really good way for us to get new recruits! This is something we should think about more for next year and how we can continue to entice them and get them interested.
