Hi everyone!

I noticed in one episode of the Clone Wars tv series Season 6 (The Lost Missions). Padmé wears an outfit that is EXTREMELY close to the Mustafar Outfit from Episode 3. I gathered some screen shots from the episode to show you guys.

I almost want to say its the same outfit with some extra hardware like on her wrists where it looks like the Naboo insignia and also again on the side of her boots. And one other difference is its darker on the top part. It's very strange there.

So what I am getting too is would these two outfits be considered the same? Or are they both different? I am looking into doing this as a costume, but didn't necessarily want to play pregnant lol.

I also found a listing on etsy, that looks pretty darn accurate to me and I wanted to get some input on it.

Well, a not-Mustafar costume. Of course. Lots of the Clone Wars costumes are inspired by different movie costumes. Razz
This would be considered a separate costume due to the differences. We merely call it 'tan tunic' at the moment.

Main concern regarding the listing: it seems too light/the harness too dark. (And the seams need to be pressed. Say no to messy seams). Wink

I went a head and ordered the listing because we'll, that was a pretty good price! But I figure I can fix the things that need fixing I'm sure. And if not, it's still a fun costume to have even if it's not approved lol.

Oooh! As someone who has this costume and wears it (pregnant version, I mean), I would love to NOT have to be pregnant. I wonder if it could be approvable? I believe we need a full shot of the back though. That is the only one that seems to be missing.

The lady I have commissioned for this tunic has started! I'm so excited and she's always sending me in progress pics!

So far everything is loosely pinned together and she said she has to do some tweaking before sewing it up.

I feel like the fabric is a bit darker compared to the images I posted the other day.

Are you working on the movie version or the clone wars version? I'm always a fan of clone wars Padme costumes. Very Happy

I started working on a reference gallery for the Clone Wars version of the tunic on the RLGS web site: http://www.senate.rebellegion.com/?portfolio=padme-amidala-clone-wars-tan-tunic Would you mind if I included your images there as well?

I'm actually having it made for me, I'm still new to sewing and would rather not mess up on this. But this is the movie version. And you can definitely use the reference shots I pulled! I figure though once I get a bit of practice in I can use this one as a pattern to make the TCW one!

I also noticed on one of my close up screen shots of the TCW version the darker part of the top looks almost layered, like it's some sort of crop vest or something.

It's coming together! She's working on fixing the collar. Can't wait to get it!

It's exciting to see some progress! It will need some good ironing when it's done.

I think you're right about the wrap top. Especially in this image it looks like the collar is part of an under-shirt, which peaks out in front at the harness v-neck. The dress is a darker material than the gloves and collar bit.

Oh definitely after it's been folded up in a box from shipping! Lol

Ah, got to love deciphering cartoon costumes! Lol. The dress part does look a bit darker, but I'm curious if it's lighting and shadow? Because it seems to have the same texture as the collar. Also the harness at the bottom that wraps around under her chest looks to be 2 straps rather than one. Though, I haven't decided if that's the harness or part of the crop jacket/wrap. Also I haven't noticed yet, but does she have the Naboo embroidered symbol on one of the gauntlets?

I also have a good picture of the embroidered Naboo symbol for the gauntlets! This lady wastes no time!
