I have noticed a few questions on mask making and finishing recently.

This guy gives some decent descriptions of how its done. Unfortunately it was shot in the wrong aspect with a phone, but the info is there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4bwoCcW4lg

He has a further two videos on his channel.

Hope that helps

Thanks for sharing this! I still would like to make my own later when I have a bit more motivation.

Thanks for sharing that video. So much help. Just a quicky for those who have already built masks, how has everyone attached the lip snarl mechanism to the outer skin? Does it attach or is it just friction of the wire against the skin?

Glad it’s of use.

You will need four way stretch fabric.
If you are just using a wire then you will wrap and glue the fabric to the wire.
Leaving extra material
One the facial appliance is attached to the under skull, pull the lip back and glue the wire with fabric onto the back inside of the lip.

Glue used is silicone.

I used wickes gun silicone for my masks
£2.99. Plus the caulk gun

Hope that helps

If you don’t understand, I can explain further

Cheers

What wire would you all recommend firstly for the main lip wire and then for the twin wires that connect to the lower jaw? I'm thinking something quite stiff for the lip and something flexible for the draw wires.

HI

It is one single piece of wire in a half loop shape, with the two ends going into two parts of the lower Jaw.

Here is the wire I used

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-Metre-Spool-of-7-Strand-Trace-Wire-15-20-30-lb-B-Strains-Pike-Fishing/222424619013?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

I will endeavour to do a drawing over a photo to show you
