Hotel room is set, so I don't have to pray that I-95S is semi-reasonable at 4:30AM on Saturday morning. I don't think I'll be there in time for the Friday night dinner, though.

FYI, the Richmond Marriott nearest the parade (our usual location, by the convention center with the Hilton right across the street) is currently showing at least a few more rooms for about $116 before fees and taxes, if you're a AAA member.

Weather calls for mostly sunny during the parade march, with only a wisp of a breeze (1-3mph). Cloud cover 40%ish. Warming quickly to near 60°F.

Gonna be a fun time.

Update: Brian will NOT be trooping as Cmdr Colt but will help out as a handler during the parade. Google list updated.

Is it okay if I troop with a 5-ft candy cane instead of my staff?

And no I do not mind you carrying the cane instead of the staff.

Thank you all to attended! A very large gathering for the Base and it means a lot that so many came from so far to attend. You all looked great and it made for wonderful memories to march with you in this year's parade. Well done!
