I've decided to it was time to put a new Jedi together and have a quick question. Are costumes from Cosplaysky.com approvable in the Legion? Their officer uniforms are approvable for the 501st, but unsure about here and couldn't find a thread on it.

The generic answer is that no costume vendor is automatically approved, and each costume must be judged based on how it works with the wearer.

I'm pretty sure I've seen their Jedi belts used. Their full costume is very cheap, so I would expect the materials to not be of sufficient quality to be admitted.

Thank you. Far as their belts. To me they are junk and I do all of my own leather work anyway. My issue is the patterning, the sewing and the pricing of other, more readily approvable vendors. Not, knocking the price vs. quality, just stating the issue on my side of it. If cosplaysky's kits were a decent base, then it would be worth buying, to me at least.

I think they can be with some modification, but it will depend on how well it fits you. Don't expect high quality and expect that some work will still need to be done.

I used the Cosplaysky for the base of my Jedi. As the others have said, it depends on how it fits, and does require some modification.

Both the belt, and robe are terrible, and will need to be replaced. The tabards need to be slightly modified to get that 'Y' shape.

The whole set is not the greatest when compared to others in my base (granted Tatooine Base does have some amazing jedi in it so I guess it's to be expected), but with some mods, and replacing of yucky parts, I was able to get the seal of approval Smile

Thank you. Has anyone posted a thread about the basics of the mods?

Not entirely sure to be honest. I've seen a couple different ways, but probably the easiest is just pinning it up behind the obi a little, so that it sits more in the 'Y' shape. If you're handy with a needle and thread, you could probably cut a wedge out of it, and sew it back together, or try your hand at creating some new ones!
