Hey guys,

My name is Chuck. I'm a model and prop fabricator and I love Star Wars. I know it's sappy but this summer I had this moment where missed Carrie Fisher so I dropped what was on my bench and started making a Rebel Donut sort of as a tribute piece.

It turned out great. It's a solid resin cast piece. It's got the vents sculpted in a gareth edwardsian way they redid the stormtrooper with turning decals into physical features.

I was chatting Mountain Base guys at Denver Comic Con and they suggested I post here to see if anyone wanted to check it out. I actually did one up like the Born to Rebel Rogue One poster for fun.

Here's a link to my portfolio piece: http://bit.ly/rebelrebels

I'd love some feedback, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes. So if I've posted inappropriately I apologize in advance and would love to do it the right way.

Here's a shot of a kit I put together-

And the Born to Rebel homage poster-

Again I'd love to know what y'all think, and it's suitability for trooping.

Thanks!

Holy karp... I've done so much research on helmets, and I don't think I've ever seen one as good as this. This is beautiful. How do I get my hands on one? Can one be scanned and set up to be 3d printed for the common folk's use? (Me since I don't have the skill to reproduce something like this).

Gorgeous. Simply gorgeous.

EDIT. I looked again... Seriously I am shocked.
2nd edit: apparently it's available in his shop...... oh my do I want.

If you guys are interested and it will meet membership spec I'd be happy to give the legion a permanent discount coupon for the kits.

Also I need to finish my trooper costume.

Fantastic donut! I wouldn't personally need the ear pieces as I have a real flight helmet, but I would 100% be down for a donut if it is available!!

So for the legion I've created a coupon: rebelrebel1017

It is good for 10% off of the resin kit until October 2017!

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! Sometimes you put this stuff out there and you never hear if people like it. I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it.

Thank you for letting me know about coupon. It is fixed now.

Your donut is en-route Soldier20, and I refunded coupon amount just now. Thank you very much for the support!

Looking good! The only thing I'd personally be worried about is the top of the donut. If you notice, the top hole on the screen used donuts is slightly offset towards the front of the helmet. It may just be the angle in the photos, but yours seems perfectly centered. I've seen some entries shot down by judges for the very same reason. I'm no judge though, so take that with a grain of salt! Laughing

https://www.yaymonsters.com/shop/rebel-donut-inspired-endor-rebel-trooper-helmet/

This is the direct link from what he posted above, and where I got mine. Quality piece of kit, and especially good if the oversized donut look doesn't really agree with you, as was my case..
