Below is a message I received from the local AMC theater manager. This is the former Carmike Ovation theater that many of us have trooped. They love us there and want us to troop. But unfortunately they were purchased by a "no helmet" company. I have been in conversations with many other REC's about this and similar requests. It is still the general understanding that "no helmets" is a national corporate decision. I am posting this event because I know we have membership that cannot or will not be driving to Charlottesville or Waynesboro, but I will stress to proceed with caution and keep checking for followups here. I have my doubts this will stay the same. I fully expect this to change when corporate finds out. I am awaiting more clarity from LFL about our stance on AMC as well.

Sorry it has taken a while to pull some strings but we have gotten the ok for a group of Troopers to come out in full gear for Star Wars if any of your guys are interested. We would of course provide some soft drinks and a theatre for a showing like in the past on that Thursday night around 11pm. Just let me know if you think anyone would be available and interested.
