Hey everyone! I'm starting a new Chewbacca build in Southern California and I'd love input along the way. You all seem awesome and super helpful. I have made my under suit already and received my hair today. Really excited and I know this is going to be a great experience. I will post initial photos in a little while.

Thank you everyone!

Hi and Welcome!

You mentioned you have your under suit made already, but didn't mention boots or stilts of some sort so just wondering if you had that part planned out already and if you left/have enough room on the leg of your pants for it to slide over the boot or stilt?

Can't wait to see your build start!

Great questions! I have 8" platforms already that fit perfectly with my undersuit. I have also just ordered my mask (underskull and silicone mask) today and should receive it at the end of the month. The only things I'm having mild issues with are the toes and the large boxes for my bandolier. Any help with those would be incredible.

I think my latch hooking is odd for some reason... Am I using to much hair per hook or am i just completely latch hooking it incorrectly? Advice, help, tips would be greatly appreciated.

So far I'm loving the Wookie building process!!!

My non-expert opinion would be that, yes, it looks like a little too much hair per loop. In my experience, that amount of hair easily becomes loose and falls out or gets tangled up. I wouldn't say your too far off though, maybe just 20 percent less than what you are already doing. Enough so you can get it really tight without it immediately loosing up a little.

I went to Disneyland yesterday for a little bit of Wookie encouragement. Started on my Bandoliers the other day. I loaded a few pictures of the materials. Also just received my feet from Norman, Thanks Norman!

You are more than welcome, Shaun. I am glad to see that the Wookiee toes arrived in good order.

Is Chewie in the Launch Bay at Disneyland?
