Hi everyone!

I've started my Iden Versio build a couple of weeks ago. For now it's mostly research, ordering/returning/exchanging things.

REFERENCE PHOTOS

Belt

Black shadow trooper belt with TK ammo packs and drop boxes attached
Waxed canvas/leather bag/pouch in the back in place of a detonator

Pouch close up

Blaster

E11 blaster

Holster

TK holster worn on the left

Chest straps

Possibly leather or vinyl. The front buckle is not something available, will have to be 3D printed.

Front detail:

Back plate/droid carrier

Top

Grey 3/4 sleeved crewneck sweater with Rebel logo on right arm. Logo looks like a patch that is sewn on and it's shiny.

Rebel logo detail

Flight suit

It's an OT X-Wing flight suit. Weathered.

Boots

German jackboots/engineer boots with a band of cartridges for a flare pistol strapped to her left leg.

Gloves

Harness

Hair

Dark brown with a braided bun worn low at the back.

PROGRESS 1:

Hair
My hair is naturally dark brown but it's not long enough to make it into a bun the size of Iden's. I ordered a clip-on braided bun extension. I'll see if I can modify it to resemble Iden's bun.

Harness
Ordered grey seat-belt webbing and 4 rectangle triglide slides and 4 square ones. I'll post picture and choose the more accurate slides once they arrive.

Top
I ordered a grey J Crew 100% merino wool sweater that has 3/4 sleeves.

Boots
Ordered Xelement 2440 black engineering boots that I'll modify (remove ankle straps).

Flight suit
I ordered Wampa Works orange flight suit in size XS. Suit is 65% cotton and 35% polyster but sadly it's too big, and looks even worse when the top is rolled up around the waist. I'm going to exchange it for XXS (Wampa Wear expects XXS suits to be available at the end of this month or at the beginning of February). XXS might still need to be taken in a bit, but maybe not as much as XS.

PROGRESS 2

The rectangle belt buckle and seat belt webbing arrived today.

I feel like the seat belt should be lighter in color, more weathered silver than grey, like this one. I ordered it and I'll return the grey one.
Buckles aren't too bad but I'm going to wait until the square ones arrive to compare.

What's about this triangle on the top?
Idens boots are like the CRL Xwing pilot boots. And they are absolut plain.

They should not have anything.
Also the seams. She have no seams on her boots.
Look out for "German Knobelbecher". They used them for every flying person in the films.

Yeah, it's not the right color and not the right width. I returned it, now waiting for a, hopefully, better webbing.

Small buckle at top edge of boot is allowable if covered by blousing (as per the link you posted) and that's what I'm going to do. The original German Knobelbechel had the top adjustment strap http://www.hotboots.com/bootinfo/jackboot.html
I'm planning on reusing these boots for 501st Iden and the adjustment strap is required. Lots of ladies in both RL and 501st were approved in these boots.

The new webbing and buckles arrived yesterday.

Webbing's width is 2'', color is great. Both buckles are supposed to work with 2'' belt but both the rectangular and square one seems a little too loose. I guess it's on purpose to make sure that the belt slides easily but I'm not sure if this will work for Iden. But the overall shape would work I think. Rectangular for the top straps/droid carrier and square ones for the bottom harness. Unfortunately these were the only buckles I could find that looked like this. I'll try to look for a slightly wider webbing.
