So I ordered the 5" inch lift boot in a size bigger than what I need so I have room for lifts. Figure 6'4" plus the 5" inch boots get me to 6'9" and I have room for lifts to get me to 6'11" before mask. With mask I should be in the 7'2" to 7"3" range right?
Any particular lift work or just go to Walmart and pick some up? |

I am going to try to make my own bandolier following Adam's video here...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gJ4_Hc17cM
Are there any other suggestions or corrections I need to be aware of? I don't have access to aluminum like he does so what about the larger boxes? The smaller ones shouldn't be an issue.
What about the bag portion? |

That’s Mel! She made my bandolier, and Don Forsyth also made my large aluminum boxes. |

Awesome! Since I am thinking I will be 7'3"ish in costume it will still be fine doing the 9 boxes right? That is what the costume standards say. |

I'll rely on the judges to give you the final answer there, but I can tell you that I'm just over 7'9" at the lowest setting for my Chewie, and my bandolier had a lot more boxes than the standards say. I was asked to remove the extras and have exactly as many as listed in the standard. |

Boots are in! Wore them around the house a bit and almost broke my ankle only twice, so win! With the boots alone I got to 6'8.5". I ordered some lifts that go up to 4" more. So looks like with mask I should get to the 7'3"/7"4" range. Hoping to start sewing my mesh suit next week.
Already spoke to Don about Aluminum boxes and leaning to the bandolier on Etsy without boxes included. I will make the small ones following Adam's vid. |

As long as the standard is followed, it should be good. Mel did my bando also. _________________

Thanks for the advice on the small boxes, I will check them out.
The lifts came in. Unfortunately there is just no way to get all 4 lifts and get my foot in the boot so it looks like I can go with a max of 2 of the lift inserts. With the 2 I was able to get to 6'10". With mask I should end up in the 7'1" area. Not quite as tall as I would have liked but I still like the idea of only having to walk in platform shoes instead of stilts so I guess that height will have to do. |

As long as the entire kit is over 7 foot, you're good to go. _________________
