I have struggled with fitting a tunic over a full bust. I see that some have used special seaming to accomplish a better fit. I have tried a different approach that seems to work well.

I used a pattern with a wide shoulder and made extra pleats between the neck and the shoulder tuck. The stitching is hidden under the tabards so there is a clean look. The pleats allow fullness in the front that makes for a more comfortable fit and less gaps in the front overlap.

I hope this is helpful to someone.
