I would like to request a few edits to the e-mail new recruits get when they are validated for Phoenix Base.

a forum is mentioned, but we do not have a local forum.
We are about to start using the rl.com forums and we use slack for fast paced communication and e-mail for other communication.

Additionally,
the last approved member was an x-wing pilot.
There was mention of our decommissioned flight squad in there ... is that still allowed?

Can I ask how this works? is it a manual thing? copy paste from a template? or automated?

If I'm not mistaken the forum referred to is the one here, for all to use.

Could you pm me the other details that are in question, I think something is being lost in translation.

Members with costumes that fall into detachments are often encouraged to join the main Detachment. For pilots this is the Rebel Legion Starfighter Command. RLSC oversees local squadrons when they exist, but is also inclusive of pilots that do not have one.

If the last part refers to the approval email there is a small template, and a requested format but a lot of it depends on the judge sending it.
